Awards

Legacy was named Alberta Magazine of the Year in 1997;

Legacy received the 2003 Edmonton Historical Board Recognition Award;

Barbara Dacks, Legacy owner and publisher, was named the 2003 YWCA Woman of Distinction for Arts and Culture and received an Alberta Centennial Medal in 2005 for "outstanding service to the people and province of Alberta;"

Legacy received the Best Feature Layout award in 2005 and the honorable mention for Best Feature Layout in 2008 at the Alberta Magazine Publishers Association annual Magazine Sessions conference.

Legacy was a Western Magazine Foundation's Alberta Magazine of the Year finalist in 2006.

Barbara Dacks, Legacy's owner and publisher, received an Outstanding Achievement Award from the Alberta Historical Resources Foundation in 2007 for Legacy's exceptional contribution to public understanding and appreciation of Alberta's heritage;

At this year's AMPA conference, Legacy received the honourable mention for Best Feature Layout for "Bee Kingdom Buzz" Fall 2008.
